After all these eulogies, I decided to post some lighter news. Check out the article, http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090815/D9A30C6G1.html, it is ridiculous. Basically, two cops had no idea who Bob Dylan was, a rather sad testament to our generation's ignorance of such a musical giant. It may be an overgeneralization, however I have personally encountered many people ignorant of Dylan, Mellencamp, Petty, Springsteen. All the landmark musicians of days past. Without these people, bands like the Decemberists or Blitzen Trapper wouldn't exist.
